Designed primarily for long-distance swimming by the owner, this three-and-a-half-acre clay-lined new lake enhances views from the Georgian house across the parkland and to the farmland beyond.

This 9-acre lake had hardly been touched since its construction in 1854. The lake was formed by damming the valley and is fed by two streams collecting water from the North York Moors.

This half-acre new pond construction was designed to enhance the setting of the family home and serve as a focal point from the drive as well as from reception rooms.

This Derbyshire estate had a number of lakes and water bodies ranging in size from a quarter of an acre to five acres. All had been neglected by the previous owners and lay untouched for many years. As well as desilting, all the lakes needed to be realigned and their banks reinstated due to considerable erosion by American Signal cray fish.
