Design & Build

With over 25 years’ experience, we design and construct all manner of ponds, lakes and wetlands. Starting with raw topographical survey data, we produce working design drawings, 3D rendered images and flyovers to help you visualise the proposed waterscape and bring the project to life.

Our team of highly-skilled operators use the latest plant and machinery to excavate and shape the design and incorporate features such as jetties, waterfalls and water control structures.

From concept to completion, we work with you to bring your vision to life.

“Thousands have lived without love,
not one without water.”

W. H. Auden

Sustainable Design

Balancing subsoil cut and fill is an intrinsic part of the design process; ensuring all excavated soil has a ‘home’ before the project starts. This not only helps minimise waste and plant movements but sympathetically marries the design into the existing surrounding contours.

The approved designs are then uploaded into the plant GPS software to ensure works are carried out as accurately and efficiently as possible; reducing both project duration and environmental impact.

The long-term sustainability of a project is extremely important to us, and so our preference is to use puddled clay to line new-build water bodies. Where this is not practical or logistically possible, we use high quality artificial lining membranes with a design life of 100+ years.

For clients keen to reduce the carbon footprint of their project we welcome the use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO). Sometimes known as renewable diesel, HVO is a fossil-free alternative to mineral diesel and results in up to a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

While our workforce is a dedicated, consistent team of highly skilled staff who deliver projects across the country, aggregates, building materials and plant hire are sourced from our network of nationwide suppliers to reduce delivery mileages.

Team

Drawing from our specialist team of surveyors, craftsmen and plant operators, we’ll work with you from concept to completion. Our team, many of whom worked with Guy and James before the company was founded, are all highly valued members of Tulloch and Boggis; each bringing well-honed skills that play a vital part in our success and longevity.
